Why not try one of Bert’s favourite woodland walks around the beautiful Gorrick Plantation...
Gorrick Wood, a hidden gem between Crowthorne and Wokingham, best explored on foot as can be muddy in places. Our furry friends love it as they can be let off the lead; free to roam as they please, so many exciting things to see and to sniff!
There isn't any parking at the Plantation itself, but there is street parking on Tangley Drive, please remember to park considerately.
At the end of Tangley Drive in Wokingham you turn left and pass under the railway bridge. You come to the entrance of Ludgrove school which does have public access at this point. The first 2km of the route is a tarmacked track so ideal for bikes and scooters however the woods itself can be muddy. There are some beautiful views and lots of farm animals grazing so its worth a visit if you go dressed appropriately!
