As a working professional, our founder Julia was frustrated by the limited choices available to her. Having owned dogs throughout her life, she felt that having to work full time away from home should not be a barrier to dog ownership. However, leaving her dogs, Rags and Bert at home alone all day was not a choice she relished.
I wanted to make our centre personal because we provide personal experiences for every dog lover, so I named our place after my beloved best friends Rags (Regan was his full name) and Bert.
What makes my heart sing every day is dogs coming through our doors so excited to see what pals are in daycare for them to play with, and watching them as a group having the best time ever.

Rags & Bert’s was voted BEST DOG DAYCARE BUSINESS in the annual Pet Industry Federation (PIF) Awards in December 2020. These national awards are voted on by a panel of industry experts and to say we were over the moon with our win would be understating our pride and happiness. Thanks goes to our pawsome team!
